Virus Threat?

I'm hoping someone can help me with this, out of the blue my antivirus is seeing the viewer as a threat. This has never been an issue in the past and I haven't done any updates recently so I'm not really sure what's going on.

Antivirus programs do generate false positives, from time to time, on all sorts of programs. If it's still doing it with the latest antivirus signature updates you could perhaps try checking the file with another antivirus program, or reinstall the viewer (can reinstall the same version over the top) to make sure that a virus on your PC hasn't infected the executable.

I've tried everything I know of (though I admit that may not be much) to get this viewer properly working again, including a clean install. I am able to sign into SL but my screen is instantly flooded with the following message..."No Media Plugin was found to handle the "text/html" mime type. Media of this type will be unavailable."

I found the following Firestorm JIRA which seems similar to what you're encountering now: http://jira.phoenixviewer.com/browse/FIRE-12703

Though it was fixed with a clean install ( http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_update_viewer ).
